2012-Seat-Exeo-FaceliftThe famous executive class Exeo saloon and ST estate range from SEAT will have a fresh appearance as well as several vital new engineering upgrades. The revamped Exeo look will feature new bi-xenon headlights and striking LED daytime running lights, which come as standard on Sport, but optional on SE. The revised Exeo will be revealed in the forthcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. Boosted by smart new alloy wheel designs, the styling enhancements further emphasize the high value Exeo range’s luxurious appearance. Meanwhile, upgrades to interior materials create a matching premium feel. Interior enhancements include the revised upholstery and the upgraded leather on the steering wheel.

Furthermore, improvements to the high quality SEAT saloon and estate’s 2.0 TDI common rail powerplant reduce the emissions to as low as 129 g/km. In addition, economy is also improved, with the Exeo saloon now capable of as much as 57.6 mpg on the EU’s combined cycle. The recent Exeo upgrades come very close behind the arrival of a new gearbox option earlier this year, with the addition of an efficient, smooth Multitronic auto/sequential manual gearbox further enhancing the luxurious SEAT’s executive appeal.

The Multitronic ‘box – with its CVT-based technology and stepped ‘changes’ – features full auto mode as well as the option of sequential shifts through the sporty shift paddles mounted to the steering wheel. The Exeo family will undergo further upgrades in 2012 with the addition of SEAT’s Start/Stop technology for the first time on an Ecomotive model, which will help deliver even more fuel efficiency. SEAT sets a goal for an ambitious carbon dioxide figure of less than 120 g/km for the Start/Stop-equipped Exeo, making it more appealing to the eco-friendly private buyers as well as the UK fleet managers who demand the low emissions levels in their executive models. The Exeo range is priced as low as £19,285, and is offered with a choice of one powerful turbocharged petrol engine or three economical turbodiesels. The Exeo range, which is today offered with a choice of three frugal turbodiesels or one potent turbocharged petrol engine, is priced from £19,285.
