2012 Hyundai i30 teased ahead of the 2011 Frankfurt Motor

2012-Hyundai-i30Hyundai released today the first sketch with the next-generation i30 and promised that the new car will make its world debut in September, at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. For those who don’t know, the Hyundai i30 is firm’s bestselling C-segment hatchback and it appears that the new car was designed and engineered at the Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Centre in Rüsselsheim, German. As expected, the next-generation i30 features the next evolution of the unique form language, ‘fluidic sculpture’ – the company’s distinctive design DNA.

If you still don’t know, we will tell you that the new design language from Hyundai was introduced back in 2009 at the Geneva Motor Show by the Hyundai ix-onic Concept. Unfortunately there are no details available yet, but make sure you will check us again as Hyundai will release all the specs and images with the new car very soon.

Thomas Bürkle, Chief Designer, Hyundai Motor Europe commented: “When designing the new i30, we used strong, fluid lines to sculpt a car which looks athletic while exuding a sense of constant motion, even when stationary. From the rendering, you can see how we managed to give the car a bold stance, transmitting a confident attitude through sporty characteristics and dynamic proportions. In this way, the car is very close to the recently unveiled i40, and we want people to recognise the Hyundai design DNA on those two models.”
